While the MENA region is composed of various cultures and identities, the panel will discuss the ways both countries and organizations are using cultural diplomacy as a soft power to engage communities in an effort to create dialogue and promote understanding of the values that create meaning in societies.

Refugee Empowerment through Innovation

The number of refugees is at the highest-level ever at more than 20 million worldwide. The Syrian civil war is the biggest source of refugees today, and neighboring countries Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey bear much of the brunt. The panel features three extraordinary leaders, who are using technology, to provide hope to refugees. The panel will focus on the current solutions provided by private sector institutions, the sustainability of these solutions and the path forward.
